The Piece
It's handwoven from cotton by the weavers of Bhujodi, in the Kutch region of Gujarat, using a traditional extra-weft technique where the motifs are woven directly into the cloth — never printed on. It's woven in Bhujodi, a renowned weaving village in the Kutch region of Gujarat, India. Bhujodi is home to the Vankar community of weavers, whose handloom tradition goes back many generations and is celebrated across India.
The Bhujodi weavers of Kutch are the same community whose Kachchh Shawls hold a Geographical Indication (GI) under Indian law — a mark of their recognised, region-specific craft. This cushion is woven by that tradition using the same handloom skills, bringing a piece of a living weaving heritage into your home.
